Anything done to the car will be reversible
and not permanent. Possible future
modifications include a lowered suspension,
15" alloys, short-shift linkage, and an
upgraded stereo system. In the near future,
the engine and undercarriage will be cleaned
up to make them more presentable at shows.
The car is essentially stock inside and
out... I am the second owner of this
stock 1983 Rabbit GTI. It is a factory
AC/no-sunroof car. The car was purchased from
the original owner in April 2003 and has been
treated to a low-budget exterior and interior
restoration. It has been repainted the
original Diamond Silver Metallic. The vehicle
currently has over 229,000 miles on the
original, non-rebuilt engine and transmission.
It took home 3rd place Watercooled Stock to
'84 at VW Super Jam 17 in June 2004 as well as
2nd place Mk1 at VW Summer Sizzle in July
2004. |
