VR6 with Nitrous, custom air ride suspension, and swap out wheels for something new.

Bought this car about 8 months ago from a fellow on Vortex. It lived its life in Cali all its life and the last 2 owners were both Vortex members. I bought it sight unseen and had it shipped to Florida where I live. Right away I loved it, it just was a fun car to just go driving.

First things I did to it where just repairs to keep the car running good and or get it running better. 1st week I owned it I drove it 2+ hours away to a drag strip to just run it with bald tires, no tach, pretty much stock 1.5L, and messed up timing it ran a 17.8@78MPH it was a funny sight.  Still I never lost to any car that night, since I was racing air cooled bugs the whole day.  Since then I did a lot of body work and welding on the car, plus fix any problems that popped up. I added my own little touches to the car, to just really make it my own.  The car gets a lot of attention and people love seeing it take out reflectors in the road or throw sparks when it hits a bump.

Over the 8 months I put over 13K miles on it, and drive it to almost all the local VW meets around me, which are all over a hour away.  I took it back to the drag strip again not too long ago, just for fun and ran a 17.2 so I'm happy with this little 1.5L. Once the VR6 goes in and I add a little dope to it I hope to be well into the 12's.
