Future plans include a complete restoration
where the body will be dipped in a large
chemical solution removing any and all signs
of paint, sealer, as well as rust. Interior
will be returned to the stock white. Sound
system will consist of something very
stealthy. To bring the car little more “up to
date” Power Windows will be added using window
crank handles for the switches in order to
keep the “classic” theme alive. A/C and Cruise
Control, and Power Steering will also be added
to improve the long drives to events. The A/C
and Heat will be provided via an in-dash
street rod unit. It will receive a complete
drivetrain and suspension rebuild including a
5 (or 6) speed swap for better freeway
drivability and coilovers for ride
adjustability. The engine will be a built 1.6L
with ITB’s as well engine management. The car
will be completely re-wired using a street rod
harness consisting of all black wires. The
engine compartment will be completely
“sterilized”, ridding it of any unnecessary
wiring, mounts, and holes. The wheels will
also be stripped and restored to their
original glory. They may possibly be chromed,
this has yet to be determined. The final
future plan is to drive the living day lights
out of it and have a blast doing it. There is
no use having a nice car and not drive it! NO
TRAIL QUEEN HERE!

The idea is to go for the Resto/Custom
route. When I picked up the car it was a
basket case. It was missing so many "1 year
only" Swallowtail pieces as well as it had a
dealer installed A/C which was promptly
removed. I have spent most of my time hunting
down all of the missing pieces and conducting
"30 year old" maintenance.
The car has a production date of 4/75 and came
