After removing the manifold.  Use the duct tape to cover all the holes on the manifold, runners etc.

Start with the 40 grit and leave the surface as smooth as possible.

STEP 2. STEP 3.

It should look like this.. (3 runners on the left).

After the surface is completely smooth (be careful not to leave any dark spots) You can start with the hand sander from 60 - 420.

STEP 4. STEP 5.

600 - 2000 grit is going to be wet sanding you can use water but WD-40 does wonders.

At 1000 grit.  After the 1500 grit you're going to start seeing the results.

STEP 6. ALL DONE!
After you're done with the 2000 wet sand, clean the surface with some WD-40 and some paper towels.

Then you can start with the rubbing compound, repeat this process 4-8 times.

Start applying the blue magic compound, you'll start seeing that baby shining like a mofo.

Finally, reinstall everything and enjoy.
