I chose this car for a 'Varsity car' for
myself and my brother, with no plans or ideas
in mind. I liked the colour though.
Bought as a 'Varsity car' in January 2000, but
has been mine since January 2003. After
VW Paarl dropped a washer or something into
the engine after a service, and claiming that
they removed it and said 'the knock you hear
is a clean
piston versus the dirty ones, the sound will
eventually go away'. This happened sometime
during 2001 or 2002. I did all the research of
what I wanted and what I didn't, and then,
when I had some time, I had the engine
overhauled, cleaned, balanced and modified all
at the same time. This all took place in
January 2006.
After 3 years of 'bullying', and taking sole
ownership of the car, and most importantly,
starting to earn some money, the exterior of
the car needed some tlc. It started at the
'Crash Flash' replacing dented bumpers and
replacing rusting window arms, and haven't
looked back since… |
