ABOUT TURN2 6 CYLINDER CARS

The Turn2 Mount/stock mount, is not an actual motor mount, but a motor dampener. The stock mount is designed to absorb engine movement and vibrations giving the car a smoother feel. Consequently, the stock mount is made of a soft rubber that is easily compressed allowing the motor to move side to side causing inconsistent shifting and less power transfer to the wheels. The TURN 2 Mount is a pair of highly durable urethane bushings that replace the soft rubber damper. The stiffer urethane bushing eliminate the motor travel, smoothes shifting, and allows the engines power to actually get to the wheels. In my case, the TURN 2 Mount did not transfer any additional vibrations to the cockpit. It did however give much better throttle response and slightly smoother shifting due to the lack of engine movement. This is one of the best priced performance upgrades available on the market. For a retail price of $50 US and a 5min install (4Cylinder), or $65 US and 5min install (6Cylinder).

Installation is simple. For 6 cylinder cars you will need a 10mm socket and a 8mm Allen wrench. If you look under the front of your car, towards the center about 6" behind the chin spoiler you will see a metal cup held by (3) 10mm nuts. Remove the (3) nuts and lower the metal cup. Now you will see a round black piece of rubber with a Allen head bolt screwed through the center of it. This is your factory motor mount (see above left). Remove the Allen head bolt and pull the mount down and out of the vehicle. Next take the Turn 2 mount and position it (as above right). Place it into the recess the factory mount came out of and screw it down with the Allen head bolt. You may find it easiest to place one of the poly mounts and aluminum plate into the recess and fasten rather than holding onto the second poly as it never gets bolted down. Place the other poly in the cup you removed and place it back over the exposed bolts. Fasten with the (3) nuts and you are done. This entire process can be performed with out jacking up the front of the vehicle.

4 Cylinder Cars For 4 cylinder cars all you will need is a 8mm Allen wrench. If you look under the front of your car, towards the center about 6" behind the chin spoiler you will see a round black piece of rubber with a Allen head bolt screwed through the center of it. This is your factory motor mount (see above left). Remove the Allen head bolt and pull the mount down and out of the vehicle. Next take the Turn 2 mount and position it (as above right, but only 1 poly piece). Place it into the recess the factory mount came out of and screw it down with the Allen head bolt.
