WATERFEST 12

Looks like this year the weather pulled through and then some for the 12th edition of Waterfest at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. Barring a couple hours of rain (in typical Waterfest fashion) on Saturday afternoon, the blazing sun delivered us near 40ºC temperatures and skin, skin, and more skin, even from the shyest of patrons, all weekend long. As usual, the largest VW and Audi show in North America drew in and packed the grounds with enthusiasts from all over, including a bunch of us regulars from the pocketrocket.ca making the what was supposed be 8 hour drive down (somebody fix the last portion of those directions for next year!) to join in the fun.

The show offered a good mix of old and new, with a range of styling to suit just about everyone’s taste as to what’s hot and what’s not. Venders and tuners were there in full force offering us a large assortment of the latest and greatest in goodies and services for your VAG at show special prices. If you came prepared, you could have walked away with some real bargains. And a few of us did just that! All in all I’d have to say it was a positive experience, with nothing but great friends, great cars, and great times. Can’t wait ‘till next year!
